Company Profile

Overview

The CPD Planetary Cabling Machine with Caterpillar Haul-Off is designed for heavy-duty cable manufacturing where large reel capacity, stable rotation and controlled cable traction are required. It is suitable for cabling medium- and high-voltage power cables, as well as for producing segmented conductors used in high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cable systems.

In addition to conductor and cable-core cabling, the machine can also be configured for steel wire armoring, steel tape armoring and copper wire shielding. Multiple take-up and pay-off reel sizes, two rotating-structure options and high reel load capacities allow the line to be matched to different cable diameters, constructions and factory layouts.

What cable products is the CPD machine designed for?
It is suitable for medium- and high-voltage power cable cabling and for segmented conductor cabling used in high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cable systems.
Can the machine be used for armoring and shielding?
Yes. The source specification states that the line can also be used for steel wire armoring, steel tape armoring and copper wire shielding.
What take-up reel sizes are available?
The listed take-up reel sizes are Ø2000, Ø2500, Ø3150, Ø3500, Ø4000 and Ø4200 mm.
What is the maximum reel load capacity?
Depending on the configuration, the take-up reel load capacity ranges from 10 T to 30 T, while the pay-off reel load capacity ranges from 3 T to 12 T.
What rotating structures are available?
The technical data lists a fork-type roller-support structure and a cradle-type structure, each with its own maximum rotational speed.
How should the correct CPD configuration be selected?
Selection should be based on cable construction, core diameter, required reel size and load, target rotational speed, armoring or shielding process, and available workshop space.
