Copper Cable & Busbar Production Solution

Complete production line solutions from copper rod to finished cable, conductor and busbar.

Solution Overview

Custom-Tailored Integrated System

A successful copper downstream project is not just a group of machines. It is a matched production system designed around product quality, operating cost, line balance and future expansion.

  • Process route design based on the final product.
  • Equipment selection for cable, conductor or busbar production.
  • Line layout, automation and utility planning support.
  • Installation guidance, commissioning and operator training.

Copper Production Line Solution

Our copper production line solution covers two major downstream routes: copper rod to cable products and copper rod to copper busbar products. The line can be designed for building wire, power cable, flexible conductor, copper flat bar, copper busbar and customized copper profiles.

Solution Overview

From copper rod to finished products, different applications require different process routes. Cable production focuses on wire drawing, annealing, stranding, insulation, cabling and testing. Busbar production focuses on continuous extrusion, dimensional control, surface quality and electrical conductivity.

We configure the production line according to copper rod type, final product specification, required capacity, automation level and available workshop space.

Core Equipment

Equipment Role in the Solution
Copper Wire Drawing Machine Reduces copper rod into required wire diameters for cable and conductor production.
Annealing System Controls wire softness, elongation and mechanical performance after drawing.
Pay-off and Take-up System Supports stable wire feeding, winding and coil handling.
Conductor Stranding Machine Forms copper conductors with controlled pitch, diameter and structure.
Cable Extrusion Line Applies insulation or sheath layers with stable thickness and surface quality.
Continuous Extrusion Machine Produces copper busbar, flat bar and customized copper profiles from copper rod.
Cooling and Straightening System Improves product shape, dimensional stability and downstream handling.
Electrical Control System Integrates PLC, HMI, speed control, alarms and production monitoring as required.

Production Process

We provide full‑range copper process solutions, covering melting, refining, CCR continuous casting‑rolling, up‑casting and cathode production, to manufacture copper rod, wire, foil and finished cable products.

Stage 01
Copper Rod to Cable

Copper Rod -> Wire Drawing -> Annealing -> Stranding -> Insulation Extrusion -> Cabling -> Sheathing -> Testing -> Take-up -> Finished Cable

Stage 02
Copper Rod to Busbar

Copper Rod -> Pay-off -> Straightening/Cleaning -> Continuous Extrusion -> Cooling -> Straightening -> Cutting/Coiling -> Inspection -> Copper Busbar

  • Matched Process Design
The line is planned around the final product, not around a single machine.
  • Stable Product Quality
Key process controls help improve wire diameter, conductor structure, insulation quality and busbar dimensions.
  • Lower Operating Waste
Better line balance can reduce scrap, downtime and unnecessary manual handling.
  • Long-term Expandability
Equipment layout and automation can be reserved for future product range expansion.

What copper production lines can you supply?
We can provide Copper Rod Production Line, Copper Rod CCR Line, 8mm Copper Rods CCR Line, Copper Rod Upcast Line, Oxygen Free Copper Rod Upcast Machine, copper furnace systems, Cable Production Line, High and Low Voltage Cable Production Line and Lithium Battery Copper Foil Production Line solutions.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide raw material, finished product, required capacity, rod diameter or cable type, workshop layout, voltage and frequency, automation preference and any special quality requirements.
Can the capacity be customized?
Yes. For copper rod CCR projects, capacity can be planned according to project requirements. The source material references 15T/h, 25T/h, 35T/h and 48T/h CCR line options, and other configurations can be discussed.
What is the difference between a Copper Rod CCR Line and a Copper Rod Upcast Line?
A Copper Rod CCR Line normally produces low-oxygen copper rod through continuous casting and rolling, while a Copper Rod Upcast Line produces oxygen-free copper rod through upward continuous casting. The best choice depends on product application and quality requirements.
Do you provide installation and commissioning?
Yes. Installation guidance, commissioning, operator training and technical support can be provided according to the final project scope and contract.
Can you upgrade an existing copper production line?
Yes. We can review existing furnace, casting, rolling, coiling or control systems and provide technical upgrading plans, replacement equipment or spare parts support.
Do you supply spare parts?
Yes. Spare parts can be supplied according to equipment model, production line configuration and customer maintenance plan.
Can you support cable production after copper rod production?
Yes. We can also provide Cable Production Line and High and Low Voltage Cable Production Line solutions for customers who want to extend from copper rod to finished cable manufacturing.
